Nigel works in the main for employer clients and takes a commercial, pro-active, straight-talking and solutions focused approach. He helps businesses spot potential employment law issues early on and helps them deal with any employment problems which do arise.
His works includes advising on redundancies and reorganisations, managing disciplinary and grievance processes and handing claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination, including employment tribunal litigation. He also specialises in drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures, including post-employment restrictions and confidentiality clauses.
Nigel works closely with our corporate and commercial teams, providing specialist employment law support on mergers, business acquisitions and outsourcing agreements. He has a particular interest in TUPE.
Nigel also advises on executive departures, where his works includes advice and support for senior individuals, as well as for employer clients.
Nigel is also a highly experienced and accomplished presenter and trainer on employment law and HR matters and is a regular speaker, both at public events and in house for clients.
