As a projects, infrastructure and finance lawyer, Aurangzeb has a demonstrated history of working on several pioneering CPEC projects. He has led several project finance transactions both as sponsors‘ and lenders‘ counsel. In doing so, he has worked on Pakistan’s first solar power, mine-mouth coal, RLNG, HVDC transmission-line, and indigenous coal mining projects; and has actively contributed to some of Pakistan’s biggest financing deals. His industry knowledge in the projects and energy sector enables him to advise on various bankability issues, regulatory procedures, and a range of post-closing matters with different stakeholders.
Moreover, Aurangzeb has also worked on several Islamic finance, conventional finance, acquisition finance, debt restructuring, securitizations and M&A transactions in, inter alia, the telecommunication, pharmaceutical, e-commerce, chemical, energy, and banking and finance sectors.
