The fire that destroyed the Grenfell Tower in West London in June 2017 is one of the United Kingdom's worst modern disasters claiming 72 lives.
As the public inquiry into the tragedy continues, UK based DWF Partner and Head of Regulatory Steffan Groch is leading the DWF team advising Kensington and Chelsea Council. DWF Australia are pleased to host Steffan at our Brisbane offices for a breakfast seminar to share his experiences and learnings.
With the most significant part of the Grenfell Tower renovation being the addition of external cladding, much evidence to the inquiry is to be centred on the likelihood of the cladding possibly being the primary cause of the fire’s external spread. At this special event, Steffan will offer a unique insight and perspective into the issues involved. This is of particular interest given the recent introduction of the Building and Other Legislation (Cladding) Amendment Regulation 2018 (Qld), which deals with combustible cladding and is set to take effect on 1 October 2018.
We hope you can join us.
